A new report by Capgemini reveals that over 50% of organisations are planning to increase investment into sustainable business in 2024.
The research, involving more than 2,000 global businesses, demonstrates the growing trend of embracing sustainability within corporate strategies.
The report, titled 'Embracing a Brighter Future: Investment Priorities for 2024,' attributed the positive trajectory to increased optimism around the impact of sustainability on overall business performance.
According to the findings:
- 52% have concrete plans to increase their investments in sustainable initiatives.
- 61% viewed a lack of sustainable practices as an "existential threat."
- 57% expressed an interest in investing in clean technology innovation, particularly in the United States and Europe, over the next two to three years.
Economic incentives, such as those presented by the EU Green Deal Industrial Plan, were identified as crucial drivers.
